Mashed Potatoes and Peas Layer

After a long time, I am going to post something today. I was busy with many things but end up with nothing.

So here I am picking up where we left.

I asked myself, what I am going to share? Food. Naturally! But what, Fish? Chicken? Meat? No, I get it. What about sharing a story with streetside food?

Once we were travelling to Nakuru (Kenya, Africa). Mr Agray was driving the car. On the road, we were getting hungry. It was a long drive (about 139 kilometres), we didn't have a nice breakfast anyway and I am always getting hungry when I travel in a car. Mr Agray said, "Mama, why don't we stop on the road side food stall and eat our local food. I am sure you didn't try it before". My husband agreed. He is always enthusiastic to try new food or dish. I am a little bit choosy in that case.

What did we get? Layers of mashed potato and peas, Noma-Choma and plantain chips. Noma choma is roasted meat on charcoal, only salt and pepper seasoning. Our Asian taste buds are accustomed to spicy and hot food. Naturally, Noma-choma taste didn't appeal to me but my husband did like it after adding some lime juice and chilli flakes. The mashed potato and peas layer was very tasty and unique creation, healthy too.

Here comes my creative fusion mashed potatoes and peas recipe.
